Take A Break

Self Care includes a mental break. Sometimes that includes a fast or detox. I personally took a 14 day break on social media and caffine.

I’ve learned so much more about myself and connecting with my spirit has allowed me to reframe my outlook on life.

I know we all want to stay connected on our social media accounts and e-mail. I know must of us run on Starbucks coffee until we crash. Most of us are unsure how we handle that crash and look back and wonder what it was all for. My break allowed me to meditate, pray, laugh, and enjoy what was around me.



I connected with myself in a different way as well as I connected with others more genuinely.


Self Care and self love is about feeding your mind, body, and spirit. Letting go one my daily coffee and caffeine habits reminded me that God is my source and I have an energy that is efficient that comes from my spirt. I was able to think clearly and rest at ease at night. I found that I was attuned with my body.


I hope all my clients can take the time out to unplug for at least a week. See how much more time that you have besides scrolling over the same images on Instagram


Below are some activities you can do instead of be plugged in:

  1. Organize your closet

  2. Read a book

  3. write a book

  4. Meditate

  5. Journal

  6. Create and Craft

  7. Go for a walk

  8. Museum Hop

  9. Call a friend

  10. Go on an outing with friends or family

  11. Write gratitude notes

  12. Yoga

  13. Pick up a new hobby like Gardening or Sewing

  14. Cardio – Exercise

There are plenty more activities. The point is to do something for you! Unplug, center yourself, and be compassionate!
