Searching for a career can feel like running through a maze. You never know if what you’re doing is really working, and it’s easy to get lost. What you need is someone who’s been through it all before, someone who knows the terrain, maybe clue you in on a shortcut or two. That’s where we come in.

Our program is specially designed to develop, locate and actively refer black people to employment positions in Los Angeles County.

WHAT WE DO (General)

​

Take you from feeling trapped in financial bondage to a euphoric sense of freedom by elevating you within the workforce.

WHAT WE DO (Specific) 

​

We conduct an upward mobility analysis to identify your job situation, motivation and goals.

We identify and locate current and prospective job openings that fit your specific situation.

We participate in placement, and follow-up with you after you obtain employment.

We make contact with employers to assure that they are knowledgeable about our programs and services; We explore their unmet business needs so your job can be developed or customized.

We manage and disseminate a current listing of available jobs in the local area on a weekly basis.

We coordinate Job Fairs

We maintain a listing of community service volunteer opportunities.

We also perform a variety of skills training to support your employment including:

• self-awareness-building

• job adaptations

• social support

• problem-solving

We understand how confusing it can be. We can set up private meetings to help you develop your resume, cover letter, portfolio, interview attire, public speaking, overall confidence and more in to attain greater for yourself.

IN-PERSON RECRUITMENT:

 

To attend and recruit at our Upward Mobility Fair, please email amaninabadha@gmail.com.

 

Registration for the Spring 2019 Upward Mobility Fair will open in January 2019. Each registration will include:

​

• Recruiting space within venue (ballroom)

• One 6-foot table with a ground length table cloth (you are welcomed to bring your own, please specify on registration if you will provide your own)

• Two chairs 

• Space identification

• Two pre-paid parking permits

• Employer access pass to continental breakfast and refreshment area

• Employer Lunch for two Recruiters (If you need to bring more than two recruiters, please specify on registration)

• Inclusion in Employer Profile brochure distributed to attendees
